Anlu City, a county-level city in Hubei Province, is administered by Xiaogan City and is a part of Wuhan Metropolitan area. Located in the northeast of Hubei Province, it covers an area of 1355 square kilometers. By 2021, the registered population is 598,700, and the permanent population is 489,200. As of October 2021, Anlu Municipality has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts, 9 towns and 4 townships.

In the 20th year of King Jing of Zhou (525 CE), the State of Jin overthrew Luhun, and the remaining people of Lu Hun rushed to Yunguo and were located in the former area of Yunguo, so it was called "Anlu". In September 1987, Anlu County was abolished and Anlu City was established at the county level. Handan Railway, Anwei Railway, Wuxi high-speed Railway (Han-Shi-Han high-speed Railway), Fuzhou-Yinchuan Expressway (Han-Shi-Han Expressway), Xiaochang-Honghu Expressway and National Road 316 pass through Anlu. It is the national garden city, the revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization section of the county, and the national typical county of rural innovation and entrepreneurship.

In 2021, the GDP of Anlu was 28.832 billion yuan, an increase of 13.9% over the previous year. The value added of the primary industry was 4.554 billion yuan, and that of the secondary industry was 10.546 billion yuan. The added value of the tertiary industry was 13.732 billion yuan, and the tertiary industry structure was 15.8:36.6:47.6.
