Biyang County, subordinate to Zhumadian City, Henan Province, is located in the southwest of Zhumadian City, bordering Tongbai in the south, Fangcheng and Wuyang in the north, Tanghe and Sheqi in the west, Suiping, Queshan and Yicheng in the east, with a total area of 2335 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 3 streets, 11 towns and 8 townships. Biyang County gets its name because it is located in the sun of water (the south of the mountain and the north of the river are yang). It was called Biyang in ancient times, belonged to Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and belonged to Han in the Warring States Period. After the Western Han Dynasty, the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and the Tang Dynasty, it successively set up seven prefectures, eight prefectures, and 15 counties. It was named Biyang in the 13th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1380).
