Cangwu County is under the jurisdiction of Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Located in the east of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, north of Wuzhou City. It is adjacent to Fengkai County of Guangdong Province in the east and Wuzhou Teng County and Hezhou Zhaoping County in the west. It is connected to Wanxiu District and Changzhou District in Wuzhou City in the south, and to Palbu District in Hezhou City in the north, with a total area of 2781.72 square kilometers. Cangwu had a population of 410,700 in 2018. In addition to the Han nationality, there are 23 ethnic groups such as Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, Mulam, Manman, Tujia and Li. As of October 2021, Cangwu County has jurisdiction over nine towns.

Cangwu County, the ancient hundred Yue land. Emperor Wudi unified South Vietnam, set Cangwu County, Guangxin County, county governing Guangxin City (now Wuzhou city). In October of the 10th year of the Republic of China (1921), Wuzhou City Hall was set up, and Cangwu County was divided. Wuzhou City Hall is set up inside the city, and the towns outside the city are still under the jurisdiction of Cangwu County. In 1983, Cangwu County was incorporated into Wuzhou City. In 2013, Longwei Town, Xindi Town, Guangping Town and Dapo Town were designated to establish the Longpolder District of Wuzhou City. It is a typical county of the whole agricultural industry chain of the country, the third batch of Chinese characteristics of agricultural products advantage area, the origin of the millennium famous tea Liubao tea, the core of the main producing area, one of the "tea boat ancient Road". In April 2019, the People's government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the removal of Cangwu County from the poverty-stricken county.

In 2021, the GDP of Cangwu County reached 6.768 billion yuan, an increase of 11.5% over the previous year. The value added of the primary industry was 2.822 billion yuan and that of the secondary industry was 1.738 billion yuan. The value added of the tertiary industry was 2.207 billion yuan, up 9.7%.
