Chenbahu Banner, subordinate to Hulunbuir City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northwest of Hulunbuir City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, and in the hinterland of Hulunbuir Grassland. Its geographical coordinates are 48°48 '-- 50°12' north latitude, 118°22 '-- 121°02' east longitude, and it borders Yakeshi City and Erguna City in the east and northeast respectively. It is adjacent to Hailar District in the southeast, Ewenki Autonomous Banner in the south, New Barhu Left Banner in the west, and Russia across the Erguna River in the northwest. The total length of China-Russia border is 193.9 kilometers (water boundary). The banner covers an area of 18,600 square kilometers. According to the 7th census data, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Chenbahuqi was 50,556.

In 2020, the regional GDP of Chen Bahu Banner reached 845531 million yuan (current price), down by 12.5%.
