Danfeng County, subordinate to Shangluo City of Shanxi Province, is located in the central and eastern part of Shangluo City, north to Luonan County, west to Shangzhou District, southeast to Shangnan County, southwest to Shanyang County, northeast to Lusi County of Henan Province, with an area of 2438 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Danfeng County has jurisdiction over 1 subdistrict and 11 towns. By the end of 2021, Danfeng County had 240,054 permanent residents.
