Daxin County, under the jurisdiction of Chongzuo City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the south margin of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the southwest of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is adjacent to Jiangzhou District of Chongzuo City in the southeast, Long 'an County in the northeast, Tianget County in the north, Jingxi City in the northwest, Longzhou County in the southwest, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the west. The national boundary is 43 kilometers long. There are Shuolong port and Yanying, Shuolong, Detian 3 border trade points. The county covers a total area of 2742 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 14 townships (towns), 1 overseas Chinese economic management zone, 146 administrative villages (communities), 1356 natural areas. As of November 2020, the resident population of Daxin County was 282,500.

Daxin County is a compact county of ethnic minorities with Zhuang as the main body, inhabited by 23 ethnic groups such as Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao and other Daxin ancient Luoyue land. It was first governed in the Qin Dynasty and followed the chiefdom system in the Song Dynasty. The eight chiefdoms have been governed for thousands of years.
