De 'an County, belonging to Jiujiang City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, the south of Jiujiang City, east Gongqing City, south Yongxiu County, west Piwuning County, north Ruichang City, Chaisang District, the total area of the county is 863 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, De 'an County had jurisdiction over 8 townships, 5 towns, 1 state forest farm, 1 garden farm, 81 administrative villages, 12 communities and 1 neighborhood committee. According to the seventh census, the permanent population of De 'an County was 167,090 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

Nan Wu Qian Zhenyuan year (927), raised Putang field for De 'an County, De 'an County was founded. The territory of the Beijing-Jiu artery, Chang-Jiu intercity railway, Fu-Yin expressway, 105 National road sent by the city, 306 national road through the northwest Cheqiao Town. Fu-yin Expressway connects De 'an County with two cities and one port. De Bai Highway, Linbai highway runs through urban and rural areas.

In 2020, the GDP of De 'an County reached 1,496,411 million yuan and the total fiscal revenue reached 2,368.29 million yuan. On July 29, 2020, it was selected into the list of towns (counties) reconfirmed as National Health Care in 2019. In November 2020, it was selected into the list of the first batch of counties (cities and districts) of the Ministry of Water Resources to deepen the reform of small reservoir management system.
