Dengta City, a county-level city entrusted by Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is located in the central part of Liaoning Province, the core area of the economic corridor of the three eastern provinces and the central part of Shenyang Economic Zone. It is adjacent to Benxi City in the east, Sujiatun District of Shenyang City in the north, Liaoyang City and Liaoyang County in the south, and the Hunhe River in the west faces Liaozhong District of Shenyang City. The city covers an area of 1167 square kilometers, governing 3 streets, 10 towns, 1 township, 18 communities and 193 administrative villages. As of November 2020, the permanent population of Lighthouse City is 354600.

The lighthouse is an emerging industrial city and one of the important birthplaces of the Neolithic Age in China. The terrain is high in the east and low in the west. The east is a stretch of thousands of mountains. The mountain area accounts for 24% of the total area of the city. There are 33 rivers in the territory, including Hunhe River, Taizi River and Beisha River, and 18 rivers with a drainage area of more than 50 square kilometers. The provincial highway Liaoguan Line and small line intersect, and the Deng Liao Expressway runs through the whole territory, connecting Shenyang Haikou Expressway and Beijing Harbin Expressway, with an exit in Tong'erbao.

In 2021, the GDP of Dengta City will be 15.78 billion yuan, down 2.3% at constant prices.
