Dingyuan County, subordinate to Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, is located in the north of the Jianghuai watershed and the northwest of Chuzhou City. It borders Nanjing District and Mingguang City of Chuzhou City in the east, Changfeng County and Huainan City in the west, and Fengyang County in the north. It covers an area of 3002 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 22 towns, 1 provincial development zone and 1 national agricultural demonstration park.
