Dongkou County, which belongs to Shaoyang City of Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of central Hunan Province. Its geographical coordinates are between 110°8 '40 "-- 110°57' 10" east longitude and 26°51'38 "-- 27°22'23" north latitude, with a total area of 2200 square kilometers. Dongkou County is the old revolutionary base county, is the hometown of General CAI 'e, the main minerals are placer gold, iron, nickel, kaolin and so on. Places of interest include Huilong Chau, Wenchang Pagoda, Dongkou Tang, Banjiang Spring Water, hot spring cluster, Tongshan Waterfall, Songpo Street, Shanmen, Noxi National Forest Park, etc. On October 25, 2013, Dongkou County was officially awarded the honorary title of China's Coulian Cultural County. On February 29, 2020, the People's Government of Hunan Province agreed to remove Dongkou County from poverty. In November 2020, it was awarded as the 10th Hunan Model County (city) of supporting the army and supporting the government and loving the people.
