Dongtou District is the municipal district of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the four main urban areas of Wenzhou. In ancient times, it is called Zhongjie, located in the coastal area of southern Zhejiang Province, outside the Oujiang River mouth. The geographical coordinates are between 120°59 '45 "-121°15' 58" east longitude and 27°41 '19 "-28°01' 10" north latitude. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Dongtou district was 107,027.

Dongtou District has a total area of 2,862 square kilometers and a sea area of 2,652 square kilometers. The district now has jurisdiction over six subdistricts, namely Beiao Street, Dongping Street, Yuanjue Street, Niyu Street, Lingkun Street and Kunpeng Street, as well as Daemen Town and Luxi Township. The registered population of the district is 154,000, and the permanent resident population is 129,100 in 2015.

On December 12, 2018, it was named as the second batch of practice and innovation base of "Lucid waters and lush Mountains are Golden Hills and silver Mountains". In December 2019, it was selected as a national demonstration county of healthy fishery breeding (the fifth batch). In 2020, the GDP of Dongtou District reached 11.4422862 billion yuan.
