Du 'an Yao Autonomous County, located in Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the eastern section of Duyang Mountain range, on the slope of the transition from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to Guangxi Basin. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. It is one of the most typical areas for karst landforms in China. With a total area of 4095 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 10 towns and 9 townships and 248 villagers (community) committees.
