Fanshi County, located in the northeast of Shanxi Province, under the jurisdiction of Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. To the north is Hengshan Mountain, one of the "five mountains", connected with Yingxian and Hunyuan counties, to the south is Wutai Mountain, one of the "four famous Buddhist mountains", to the east is Lingqiu County and Fuping County, Hebei Province, and to the west is Dai County. With a total area of 2368 square kilometers, Fanshi County has jurisdiction over 13 towns and townships. Is a temperate continental climate, annual average temperature 6.3℃, annual precipitation 400 mm or so, frost-free period 130 days.

Fanshi County was built in the Spring and Autumn period, has a long history, Fanzhi from the Sui Dynasty Kai Huang 18 years (598) named.
On September 25, 2018, it was awarded the honorary title of "2018 E-commerce into Rural Comprehensive Demonstration County" by the Ministry of Commerce. [1] On April 18, 2019, the People's Government of Shanxi Province approved Fanshi County to exit poverty-stricken county.
