Fenggang County, under the jurisdiction of Zunyi City of Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Guizhou Province, bordering Sinan, Meitan, Wuchuan and other seven counties, bordering Dalou Mountain in the north and Wujiang River in the south. It belongs to the original region of central Guizhou Hill. There is no heat in summer or cold in winter, abundant rainfall and abundant heat. With a total area of 1,885 square kilometers, the county has 4 sub-district offices and 10 towns. According to the seventh census, the permanent population of Fenggang County was 304,156 as of midnight on November 1, 2020.

Fenggang in the Ming Wanli 29 years (1601) county, is the revolutionary old area of Zunyi east gate. It is located at the southern foot of Dalou Mountain and the north bank of Wujiang River. County landscape has terrestrial plant fossil Qian Yu branch, Agate mountain "ancient military cave castle", Ming Dynasty cliff stone carving "Yelang Gudian", Zhonghua Mountain "Wan ancient Hui you", there are western China Cha Hai forest park, Jiudaoguai ten mile long river, Wanfo Canyon and folk Nuo opera, flower opera Fenggang County for the first batch of national agricultural sustainable development experimental demonstration area. On September 25, 2018, Guizhou province agreed to withdraw Fenggang County and 14 other counties (districts) from the poverty-stricken counties. On October 22, 2018, it was selected into the list of leading areas for the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in the country in 2018. In March 2019, it was listed among the first batch of counties under protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On July 29, 2020, it was selected into the national Health township (county) naming list for the 2017-2019 cycle.

In 2020, Fenggang County achieved a gross regional product (GDP) of 8.506 billion yuan, an increase of 5.3%. [38] On October 9, 2020, it was awarded the fourth batch of national ecological civilization Construction Demonstration City and county title by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
