Fenghua District, subordinate to Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the east coast of Zhejiang Province, south of Ningbo City, east of Xiangshan Port, across the port and Xiangshan County, south of Ninghai County, west of Xinchang County, Shengzhou and Yuyao City, north of Haishu District, Yinzhou District. It is located between 29°25 '-- 29°47' north latitude and 121°03 '-- 121°46' east longitude. It is 70.5 kilometers long from east to west and 42 kilometers wide from north to south. The total area of the region is 1278.30 square kilometers. By the end of 2021, Fenghua District has jurisdiction over 8 subdistricts and 4 towns.

Tang Kaiyuan twenty-six years (738 years), Fenghua county, 1988 county set up city. Fenghua, known as the "Holy Land of Maitreya", was the place where Liang Bubagu monk (Maitreya Buddha) was born and buried after his death. In the Song Dynasty, there was Lin Bu, known as "charming his wife and craning his son"; in the Yuan Dynasty, there was "Master Jiangnan" and famous poet Dai Miaoyuan; in modern times, there were Chiang Kai-shek, Jiang Ching-guo and his son, Wang Zhengting, the father of China's Olympic Games; and a number of outstanding revolutionary figures, such as Zhuo Lanfang, the early secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, Zhuo Kaize and Wang Kun, also emerged. Xikou-tengtou Scenic Spot is the first national AAAAA scenic spot in Ningbo. Xikou, the hometown of Jiang, is an important window for Taiwan work in the country. Xuedou Temple is one of the "Ten Zen temples in the world". Xikou Town and Tengtou Village were selected as the only representative case in Asia of the Future Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo and the only rural case in the Urban Best Practice Area respectively.

By the end of 2021, the registered population of Fenghua District is 477,862. In 2021, Fenghua District achieved regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 84.844 billion yuan, divided into industries, the primary industry achieved added value of 3.379 billion yuan, the secondary industry achieved added value of 52.383 billion yuan, the tertiary industry achieved added value of 29.082 billion yuan, the ratio of three industries is 4.0:61.7:34.3.
