Fengxian County is under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Located in the northwest of Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, it is connected with Tongshan District and Peixian County in the east, Jinxiang County and Yutai County in the north, Dangshan County and Xiaoxian County in the south, and Shan County in the west. It is located in the center of the Huaihai Economic Zone and the southeast edge of the North China Plain. Xuji Expressway crosses the whole territory, connecting Beijing-Fuzhou Railway, Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Lianhuo Railway. Fuxin River in the territory leads to Weishan Lake and connects with the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. The area is 1450.2 square kilometers. By the end of 2020, the permanent population of Fengxian County was 935200.

Fengxian County was known as Fengyi, Qintai and Fengcheng in ancient times. It is said that in ancient times, there was a phoenix that fell here and got its name. Fengxian has a long history. There is a saying that "Xuzhou comes first and then Xuanxuan, and only Fengxian doesn't remember the year". It is the hometown of Liu Bang, the great ancestor of the Han Dynasty, and the hometown of Zhang Daoling, the master of heaven. It has the reputation of "Long Enclave, the hometown of a generation of emperors; the hometown of the master of heaven". It is the pilot county of the National Intellectual Property Strengthening County Project, the National County-level Digital Agriculture and Rural Development Advanced County, the National Digital Rural Pilot County, the National Top 100 Small and Medium-sized Cities with the Most Investment Potential, and the National County with the Most Investment and Business Value.

In 2021, Fengxian County is expected to achieve a GDP of 55 billion yuan, a general public budget revenue of 3.302 billion yuan, and a total retail sales of consumer goods of 32 billion yuan.
