Fengxin County, under the jurisdiction of Yichun City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province. It is connected to Anyi County in the east, Gao 'an City in the south, Yifeng County in the southwest, Xiushui County in the northwest, Jingan County in the north, and Liaohe River flows through the territory. It has a total area of 1,642 square kilometers and 18 townships (farms and management committees) under its jurisdiction, with cultivated land of 590,800 mu and woodland area of 1,636,700 mu. The forest coverage rate reached 64.46%. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Fengxin County's permanent population is 268,617.

Fengxin County is one of the first rural primary electrified counties in China. It has 77,900 kilowatts of hydropower reserves and has developed 50,000 kilowatts. It generates 400 million kilowatts of electricity annually. National commodity grain, bamboo forest base, provincial kiwifruit development base. Mineral deposits granite, China clay, fluorite, potassium feldspar and so on. Lifting copper, dry big, temple Tang, Wan Xiu public pass through the border. Places of historical interest are Ji Mei Archway, "the world rules" stone carvings, King of Yue Mountain, Baizhang Temple, Baizhang Temple is the birthplace of Buddhism "Zen forest rules" (also known as "the world rules"). There are Hualin Academy ruins, radish Pool, Song Yingxing Memorial Hall. In March 2019, it was listed among the first batch of counties under protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. In May 2020, it was listed in the demonstration list of new-type urbanization construction of county towns.
In 2020, the GDP of Fengxin County reached 1919.721 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 4.0% at comparable prices.
