Fengxin County, under the jurisdiction of Yichun City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province. It is connected to Anyi County in the east, Gao 'an City in the south, Yifeng County in the southwest, Xiushui County in the northwest, Jingan County in the north, and Liaohe River flows through the territory. It has a total area of 1,642 square kilometers and 18 townships (farms and management committees) under its jurisdiction, with cultivated land of 590,800 mu and woodland area of 1,636,700 mu. The forest coverage rate reached 64.46%. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Fengxin County's permanent population is 268,617.
Fengxin County is one of the first rural primary electrified counties in China. It has 77,900 kilowatts of hydropower reserves and has developed 50,000 kilowatts.
