Fuliang County, affiliated to Jingdezhen City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, at the junction of Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, between east longitude 117°01 '-117°42', north latitude 29°09 '-29°56', with a total area of 2851 square kilometers. Fuliang County is a subtropical monsoon humid climate. As of 2019, Fuliang County has jurisdiction over 10 towns, 8 townships and 2 township-level units. The county government is based in Fuliang Town. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Fuliang County was 280,376.

Warring States period, Fuliang County is an ancient county. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), it was renamed Fuliang. On October 11, 1988, The State Council approved the establishment of Fuliang County. Fuliang County has highway import and export 6, 206 national highway across the entire territory. There are Song Dynasty Buddhist Pagoda, Fuliang Ancient County Government, Dongbu Ancient Street, Baoji Zen Temple and other scenic spots in Fuliang County, among which Fuliang Ancient County Government was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province in 1987. Fuliang County has been awarded the honorary titles of "Water-saving Society Construction Standard County in Jiangxi Province in 2019" and "the second Batch of National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration City and County".

In 2020, the GDP of Fuliang County reached 14.187 billion yuan, an increase of 3.9% over the previous year. On October 9, 2020, it was named as the fourth batch of practice and innovation base of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. In November, it won the title of "China Natural Oxygen Bar".
