Guzhen County, belongs to Bengbu City of Anhui province, located in the northeast of Anhui province, the north bank of the middle reaches of the Huaihe River, south Feihe River and Bengbu suburb adjacent, north Tuo River and Lingbi County, east bordering Wuhe County, southwest adjacent to Huaiyuan County, northwest adjacent to the Yongqiao district of Suzhou City, the total area of 1363 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 11 towns, 228 villages (Ju). According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Guzhen county was 501,400.

Guzhen has a long history. After the Qin and Han Dynasties, it was set up for many times as a country, county, prefecture, county and town. Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, set up Guyang County here, the remains still exist; During the reign of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Guyang Town was set up, which later evolved into Guzhen. In 202 BC, the famous "Battle of Gaixia" took place in the county, marking the beginning of the 400-year foundation of the Han Dynasty and leaving behind such stories as "besieged on all sides" and "Farewell My Concubine". The "Gaixia Site" has been listed as a key cultural relic under state protection. Xu Shen, a famous Confucian scholar and writer in the Eastern Han Dynasty, once served as an official in Guzhen and wrote Shuo Wen Jie Zi, which was the first Chinese dictionary.

In 2020, the GDP of Guzhen County reached 31.158 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4% over the previous year at comparable prices.
