Hejiang County, subordinate to Luzhou City of Sichuan Province, is located in the combination of Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou, the southern edge of Sichuan Basin. It borders Jiangyang District, Naxi District and Luxian County on the west, Jiangjin District of Chongqing on the east, Yongchuan District on the north, and Chishui City and Xishui County of Guizhou Province on the south. Hejiang County is 38.7 km away from Luzhou urban area, 260.1 km away from Chengdu urban area and 109.2 km away from Chongqing urban area. It is the first port county on the Yangtze River. There are 54 km of Yangtze River and 57 km of Chishui River golden waterways in Hejiang County, and Yi Luyu and Chengzi Luchi Expressway run through the whole city. It covers an area of 2414 square kilometers. By the end of 2021, Hejiang County had a total population of 910,000.
Hejiang County was founded in the second year of Yuan Ding in the Western Han Dynasty (115 B.C.). It is one of the first three counties in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. There are national forest park, provincial scenic spot Fubao tourism area, Chinese historical and cultural towns Fubao ancient town and Yaoba ancient town, there are thousands of years of temple Fawang Temple.
