Hengfeng County, subordinate to Shangrao City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the central part of Shangrao City and the northeast part of Jiangxi Province. It borders Guangxin District in the east, Yanshan County in the south, Yiyang County in the west and Dexing City in the north.It covers an area of 655 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 11 towns (subdistricts, farms and offices). By the end of 2021, the county has a registered population of 229,100.

Hengfeng County in the Ming Dynasty Jiajing thirty-nine years (1560) county, the Republic of China three years (1914), because of the county north Hengfeng Mountain into Hengfeng County. Shanghai-kunming Expressway, National Highway 320, Provincial Road 204, Shanghai-Kunming Railway, Fengfu Railway and Shanghai-Kunming high-speed Railway pass through. It has more than 10 urban theme parks such as Censhan National Forest Park, citizen leisure square and wetland park.
In 2021, Hengfeng County achieved a gross regional product of 10.083 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over 2020 based on comparable prices.
