Horqin Right Wing Front Banner, affiliated to Hinggan League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the central and western part of Hinggan League, connected to Tuquan County, Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner and Baicheng district of Jilin Province in the south, connected to New Balhu Left Banner of Hulunbuir League, Ewenki Autonomous Banner and Zhalantun City in the north, Jalaid Banner in the northeast, East Wuzhumuqin Banner of Xilin Gol League in the west, and bordering Mongolia in the northwest. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Horqin Right Wing Front Banner was 285,392.

Horqin right front Banner with a total area of 17,000 square kilometers. Horqin Right Wing Front Banner is inhabited by Mongolian, Han, Manchu, Hui, Korean and other 13 ethnic groups, among which the Mongolian population accounts for 45% of the total population.

On March 4, 2020, the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region agreed to remove Horqin Right Front Banner from the poverty-stricken flag county sequence. On August 2, 2021, with the approval of the Leading Group for Rural Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, Keyou Front Banner was designated as the national key Rural revitalization Banner County.
