Ji 'an County, which belongs to Ji 'an City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the central part of Jiangxi Province, the center of Jitai Basin and the middle reaches of Ganjiang River Basin. It is adjacent to Xijiang County, Jishui County, Jizhou District and Qingyuan District in the east, Taihe County in the south, Yongxin County and Anfu County in the west, and Yushui District and Fenyi County in Xinyu City in the north. With a total area of 2117 square kilometers, Ji 'an County has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts, 13 towns and 6 townships. According to the seventh census in 2020, Ji 'an County has a permanent population of 469,500.

Ji 'an County, is China's old revolutionary base area, known as "general County". Has won the national civilization county, the national greening model county. In October 2017, the Jiangxi Provincial government approved Ji 'an County's "poverty alleviation and withdrawal". In December 2019, it was selected as a pilot unit to promote the quality improvement of farmer cooperatives in the whole county.
In 2021, the GDP of Ji 'an County reached 24.338 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 9.3%; Total fiscal revenue reached 3.31 billion yuan, up 7.2% year on year.
