Jiangle County was under the jurisdiction of Jian'an County in the third year of Wu Yong'an in the Three Kingdoms (260 years). It was under the jurisdiction of Yanping Prefecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and was under the jurisdiction of Sanming City in 1983. Located in the northwest of Fujian Province, it is a historic county, the former Central Soviet District county, the national science and technology progress county, the cultural advanced county, and the provincial civilized county, with a total area of 2241.1 square kilometers. From 2014 to 2016, it ranked first in the top 100 deep breathing cities in China for three consecutive years. In 2019, Jiangle County achieved a GDP of 15.796 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7% over the previous year.
