Jiangshan, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, is administered by Quzhou. Located at the junction of Zhejiang, Fujian and Jiangxi provinces, it is the southwest gateway of Zhejiang Province and one of the sources of the Qiantang River. In 1987, counties were abolished and cities were established. The city's land area is 2019.48 square kilometers. Hangchang high-speed railway, Beijing-Taiwan (Huang-Quzhou-South) high-speed, Zhejiang-Jiangxi railway runs through the whole territory.
