Jianli County (a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jingzhou, Hubei Province) generally refers to Jianli (a county-level city administered by Jingzhou City).
Jianli, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jingzhou, is located in the central and southern part of Hubei Province, south of Jianghan Plain and north of Dongting Lake. It is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the south, Xiangshui in the north, Honghu City in the east, Jiangling County and Shishou City in the west, and Huarong County, Linxiang City and Yueyang County in Hunan Province in the south across the river. The city covers an area of 3460 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, Jianli had jurisdiction over 3 townships, 18 towns, 67 community neighborhood committees and 323 organized villages. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Jianli had a permanent resident population of 1,120,822.

There are Daxi culture and Longshan culture and other Neolithic relics in Jianli, which is one of the important birthplaces of Chu culture. There are two "Chinese historical and cultural famous towns", Zhoulaozui Town and Chengji Town, and a number of national and provincial intangible cultural heritages, such as "Lo Lo Dong" and "The Legend of Peilun". It is located in the cross-radiating area of Wuhan City Circle and Changzhu-Xiangtan City group. Suiyue Expressway runs north-south, Jingyue Yangtze River Bridge connects Hunan Province and Hubei Province, and Jiangbei Expressway runs east-west. It has many tourism resources, such as the west bank of Honghu Lake, Donggangzi Wetland, Ziyunying Flower Sea in the former route of the Yangtze River, Lotus sea of peach forest in Dayuan, and religious culture in Yanglin Mountain.
In 2021, the GDP of Jianli was 33.583 billion yuan, an increase of 13.0% over the same period last year.
