Jimei District, under the jurisdiction of Xiamen, Fujian Province, is the center of Xiamen City. Geographically known as Jimei Peninsula, Xiamen City in the geometric center and Xiamen Zhangquan Triangle center. National Highway 324, National Highway 319 transit. Jimei District ancient Quanzhou Fu Tongan County, Zhangzhou Fu Haicheng County. In May 1957, part of Tongan County was designated as a suburb; in August, Haicang Township and Xinbing Township of Haicheng County were designated as suburbs; in August 1987, suburban Heshan Township was designated as Jimei District. It covers an area of 276 square kilometers.  According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Jimei District was 1,036,987.
