Jinghai District, under the jurisdiction of Tianjin, is located in the southwest of Tianjin. It is adjacent to Binhai New Area in the east, Xiqing District across Duliu Meihe in the northeast, Bazhou City in the northwest, Wen 'an County in the west, Dacheng County in the southwest, Huanghua City in the southeast, and Qingxian County in the south, with a total area of 1,475.68 square kilometers. In 2020, Jinghai District has 787,100 permanent residents and 622,500 registered residents. As of October 2021, Jinghai District has jurisdiction over 2 subdistricts, 16 towns and 2 townships.
