Jinghe County

Jinghe County, belonging to Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Xinjiang, at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountains. In the 14th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1888), the Jinghe Zhili Fumin Hall was set up, under the jurisdiction of Ita Road. In March 1981, the first session of the Seventh People's Congress of Jinghe County was held to restore the name of the People's Government of Jinghe County. Jinghe County is located at the traffic hub of northern Xinjiang. G30 and the Second Eurasian Continental Bridge pass through the territory. Jinghe Yihuo Railway connects with the Second Eurasian Continental Bridge here. On January 25, 2019, Jinghe County was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" demonstration county in 2018. There are many scenic spots in the county, such as Bayin Amen Scenic Spot, Binhe Scenic Spot, Ping'an Aobao Scenic Spot, etc. On July 29, 2020, it was included in the naming list of national health towns (counties) in the 2017-2019 cycle.
