Jinping county, named after green hills like brocade and beautiful as screens, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. It is located in the southeast corner of southeast Guizhou, facing Chu along with Qian, with Jingzhou County of Hunan Province in the east, Liping County in the south, Jianhe County in the west and Tianzhu County in the north. The land span east longitude 108°48 '37 "~ 109°24' 35", north latitude 26°23 '29 "~ 26°46' 49", the total land area of 1597 square kilometers.
On March 3, 2020, the government withdrew from the list of poverty-stricken counties and realized poverty alleviation. In 2020, the county's GDP was 5973.49 million yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year.
