Jinxi County, under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou City of Jiangxi Province, is located in the central and eastern part of Jiangxi Province and the north of Fuzhou. It borders Zixi County and Guixi City in the east, Nancheng County in the south, Linchuan District in the west, and Dongxiang District and Yujiang District of Yingtan City in the north. The county covers an area of 1,358 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 13 townships and overseas Chinese administrative areas. By the end of 2020, Jinxi County's permanent population was 253,800.
