Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County is subordinate to Laibin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located in the eastern part of the central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the northeast of Laibin City on the main mountain range of Dayao Mountain, spanning between 23°41 "20" ~ 24°27 "58" north latitude and 109°48 "47" ~ 110°27 "20" east longitude. It is connected to Mengshan County in the east, Pingnan County, Guiping City and Wuxuan County in the south, Xiangzhou County in the west, and Luzhai County and Lipu City in the north. The maximum transverse distance between east and west of autonomous counties is 62.4 kilometers, and the maximum longitudinal distance between north and south is 93 kilometers, with a total area of 2,518 square kilometers. The main tourist attractions in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County are Lianhua Mountain, Shengtang Mountain, Luohan Mountain, Banxian Gorge, Huawang Mountain Village, primitive forest Resort and Silver Fir Park.

Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County has the titles of "the largest water source Forest area in Guangxi", "National Demonstration County of the Source of Protection Forest Construction in the Pearl River Basin", "Dayaoshan National Forest Park" and "Dayaoshan National Nature Reserve".
