Jishou is the prefecture-level administrative capital of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. The city borders Luxi County in the southeast, Huayuan County in the northwest, Fenghuang County in the southwest, Baojing County and Guzhang County in the north.
