Kaijiang County, affiliated to Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Sichuan Province, the southern foot of Daba Mountain, east to Kaizhou district and Wanzhou district of Chongqing, south to Liangping District of Chongqing, west to Dachuan District of Sichuan Province, north to Xuanhan County of Sichuan Province, a total area of 1032.55 square kilometers. Kaijiang County since the Southern and Northern Dynasties Western Wei Emperor two years (553 years), the old name of Xinning County, has a history of more than 1450 years, the Republic of China three years (1914) in August, the current name has been inherited.
