Kangding County (Kangding County) generally refers to Kangding (the county-level city and capital of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province)

Kangding City is located in the east of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, and is the capital of Ganzi Prefecture. Kangding has a long and splendid history and culture. It is the throat of Sichuan and Tibet, an important town of the ancient Tea-Horse Road, and the intersection center of Tibetan and Han. It has been the political, economic, cultural, trade, information center and transportation hub of Kangba Tibetan area since ancient times. The city covers an area of 11600 square kilometers. It is a city dominated by Tibetans and inhabited by Han, Hui, Yi, Qiang and other ethnic groups. According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent resident population of Kangding was 126785.

Comrade Zhu Rongji, the former Premier of the State Council, came here with deep admiration and called it "the overseas fairy mountain and the holy land of Penglai". Kangding is a Chinese name. It is named after "Kang" in the east of Danda Mountain, which means "Kangdi is stable". In Tibetan, Kangding is called "discount more", which means the intersection of the two rivers, namely, the bend (Yala River) and the bend (Zheduo River). The old history has been translated as "Da Jian Lu", and later translated as "Da Jian Lu", which is abbreviated as "Lu Cheng".

On September 25, 2018, it was awarded the honorary title of "2018 Comprehensive Demonstration County of E-commerce in Rural Areas" by the Ministry of Commerce. In 2018, Kangding achieved a GDP of 8011 million yuan, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year. On April 28, 2019, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government decided to withdraw Kangding from the poverty-stricken county sequence.
