Laishui County, subordinate to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of the central part of Hebei Province, at the north end of the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains, in the southeast is the Juma River alluvial plain, and in the northwest is the northeast section of the Taihang Mountains, which slopes from northwest to southeast. The terrain is in a long slanting strip, known as Laishui County "a line". It borders Zhuozhou City and Gaobeidian City in the east, Dingxing County and Yixian County in the south, Laiyuan County, Zhuolu County and Yuxian County in the west, and Mentougou District and Fangshan District in Beijing in the north. In Sui Dynasty, it was renamed Gu'an County and Yongyang County. In the 18th year of Emperor Kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (598), it was called Laishui County. In 1994, after the merger of Baoding prefecture and city, Laishui belonged to Baoding city. Laishui County is a semi-arid area of the eastern monsoon warm temperate zone, with four distinct seasons. It is dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, high and cool in autumn, and cold and snow free in winter. There are G108 Beijing Kunming Line and Lailai Expressway passing through the border. The main cultural relics and historic sites are Flower Pagoda of Qinghua Temple, Xigang Pagoda, Huangfu Temple Pagoda, Tomb of Prince Yixian, etc. The main tourist attraction is Yesanpo Scenic Area.
