Yueqing City, a county-level city administered by Wenzhou City of Zhejiang Province, is located in the north wing of Wenzhou City, connected with Yuhuan City and Dongtou District of Wenzhou City in the east, facing Longwan District of Wenzhou City and Ouhai District of Wenzhou City in the south, adjacent to Yongjia County in the west, bordered by Huangyan District of Taizhou City in the north and Wenling City in the northeast. Yueqing has a land area of 1391 square kilometers, a sea area of 284.30 square kilometers, and a coastline of 166.8 kilometers. By October 2021, Yueqing has jurisdiction over 8 subdistricts, 14 towns and 3 townships. By the end of 2021, the permanent resident population of Yueqing is 1.464 million, an increase of 0.98 million over 2020.

Yueqing City has Shenhai Expressway, Yongguan Expressway, Wenzhou Ring Expressway, 104 National Highway, 228 National highway and other highway trunk lines. Yueqing City is one of the second batch of pilot areas of Zhejiang high quality development and construction of common prosperity demonstration zone. In 2021, the gross regional product of Yueqing reached 143.348 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8% over 2020.
