Liaozhong District (Liaozhong County) is subordinate to Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the middle of Liaoning Province and southwest of Shenyang City. It got its name because it was west of Liaojun, east of Liaoshui, and in the center; It is between 122 ° 28 ′ and 123 ° 6 ′ east longitude and 41 ° 12 ′ and 41 ° 47 ′ north latitude, bordering Tai'an County of Anshan City in the south, Liaoyang City in the east, Heishan County of Jinzhou City in the west, and Xinmin City in the north. Liaozhong District is the youngest and largest district in Shenyang. Liaohe River, Hunhe River, Puhe River, Raoyang River and other four rivers pass through the territory, which is a typical alluvial plain. Beijing Shenyang Expressway, Deng Liao Expressway, Ben Liao Liao Expressway, Liao Xin Expressway are connected with the central Liaoning urban agglomeration and northeast hinterland. It has become a node connecting the "hinterland of the Greater Shenyang Economic Zone" and the "five points and one line coastal economic belt".

Liaozhong District is the first national ecological county in Northeast China. There are the longest coastline in China and the first national wetland park in Shenyang - "Puhe National Wetland Park in Liaozhong" and the largest plain reservoir in Liaoning Province - "Pearl Lake". Specialties include Hanfu apple, Liaozhong rose, Liaozhong crucian carp, etc.

In October 2018, it was selected into the "2018 National Top 100 District of New Urbanization Quality". In 2019, it was listed as the second batch of national agricultural product quality safety counties.
