Lingyun County, known as Sacheng in ancient times, belongs to Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. In 1992, the people's government of the autonomous region approved the treatment of ethnic minority autonomous counties, and in 2002, The State Council identified them as key counties in the new round of poverty alleviation and development work.

Lingyun County has been awarded the "Hometown of famous tea in China", "National green Model County", "National Garden County", "National Safety Construction Advanced County", "National key tea producing County", "National Western education 'two basic' advanced County", "Guangxi Health County" and other national, provincial and ministerial honorary titles. In December 2018, it was awarded the second batch of national demonstration cities and counties for ecological civilization construction. On May 9, it was approved by the people's government of the autonomous region to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county sequence.
