Liuba County, affiliated to Hanzhong City of Shanxi Province, is located in the north of Hanzhong City, east of Yang County, Chenggu County, south of Hantai District, west of Mian County, north of Taibai County, Feng County, an area of 1970 square kilometers. Liuba belongs to the warm temperate humid monsoon climate type, with long winter and short summer. The average annual temperature is about 11.5℃ in spring and autumn. As of October 2022, Liuba County has jurisdiction over 1 subdistrict and 7 towns. Liuba County people's government resident Zibai street. Liuba County, in history is a north-south thoroughfare, known as the "throat of the Qin and Han Dynasties" said. In the Neolithic age, ancient people lived on the Sichuan Road and platforms along the banks of the Baohe River and the Heihe River. Xia and Shang belong to Liangzhou. In 1996, it belongs to Hanzhong City. Liuba County has convenient transportation, with expressways and national highways running through the whole territory. On October 9, 2020, Liuba County was named as the fourth batch of national demonstration cities and counties for ecological civilization construction by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

In 2021, the GDP of Liuba County reached 2.205 billion yuan, and the per capita disposable income of residents was 21,876 yuan.
