Li County, subordinate to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the central plain of Hebei Province, the southeast of Baoding City, the hinterland of the Beijing Tianjin Shijiazhuang Triangle, and the junction of Baoding, Cangzhou, and Hengshui. The county is connected to Gaoyang County in the northeast, Suning County in the southeast, Raoyang County and Anping County in the south, Boye County in the southwest, Qingyuan District in the northwest. In the first month of the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375), Li Prefecture was reduced to Li County. In 1958, Li County was merged into Gaoyang County. In 1962, Gaoyang County emerged from Lixian County. In 1994, the prefecture and city of Baoding were merged, and Li County belonged to Baoding City. Lixian County is located in the middle of North China Plain, the western structural belt of Jizhong Depression, Bohai Bay Basin, with a general terrain of high in the southwest and low in the northeast.
