Luanchuan County is subordinate to Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is located in the west of Henan Province, bordering Songxian County in the east, Lushi County in the west, Xixia Gorge in the south, and Luoning in the north. With a total area of 2477 square kilometers, it is known as "four rivers, three mountains, two rivers, two rivers, and nine mountains, half water, and half farmland".
