The famous songs of lanterns, such as "Midu Mountain Song", "Embroidery Lotus Bag", and "Ten Sisters", and the folk song "Little River Flowing Water", known as the Oriental Serenade, came from Midu. In 2010, the Midu folk song of Midu County, Yunnan Province, was selected into the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, the category of traditional music projects, with serial number 6.
