Oroqen Autonomous Banner, under Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Located in the northeast of Hulunbuir City, the west bank of Nenjiang River. It borders Nenjiang County, Heilongjiang Province across the river in the east, Genhe City and Yakeshi City in the west, Molidavada Daur Autonomous Banner and A Rong Banner in the south, and Huma County, Heilongjiang Province in the north, bounded by Ileh Huli Mountain, with a total area of 59880 square kilometers. In 2021, the registered population of Oroqen Autonomous Banner was 235,300. Inhabited by Oroqen, Mongolian, Han, Hui and other ethnic groups. As of October 2021, Oroqen Autonomous Banner has jurisdiction over 8 towns and 2 townships. There are 6 forestry companies (Forestry Bureau) of Inner Mongolia Daxing 'anling Forestry Industry Group (Forestry Administration Bureau). Oroqen autonomous Banner, the territory of the earliest recorded in history is Donghu land. In 209 BC, Xiongnu defeated Donghu and occupied its territory. In 1951, three Nutuks of Oroqen were merged to form Oroqen Banner under the jurisdiction of Hulunbuir Nawen Muren League. In 2001, Hulunbuir League was abolished and prefectural Hulunbuir City was set up under Oroqen Autonomous Banner. On March 4, 2020, the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region approved Oroqen Autonomous Banner to be removed from the poverty-stricken banner county list.

In 2021, the gross domestic product of Oroqen Autonomous Banner was 7.508 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the previous year based on comparable prices. The added value of the primary industry was 3.214 billion yuan and that of the secondary industry was 842 million yuan. The added value of the tertiary industry is 345.185 million yuan, and the tertiary industrial structure is 42.8:11.2:46.
