Qi County (qi xian), belongs to Jinzhong City of Shanxi Province, is located in the central part of Shanxi Province. In 2021, Qi County has jurisdiction over 6 towns and 1 township: Zhaoyu Town, Dongguan Town, Guxian Town, Jialing Town, Chengzhao Town, Laiyuan Town and Yukou Town. There are 117 administrative villages and 16 communities. The total area is 854 square kilometers. According to the seventh census, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Qi County was 254,535.
Qixian County, known as "Zhaoyu" in ancient times, got its name from "Zhaoyu Qizewu".
