Quzhou County is subordinate to Handan City, Hebei Province. It is located in the Heilonggang basin of the Haihe Plain at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains in the south of Hebei Province and the northeast of Handan City. It is adjacent to Qiu County in the east, Guangping and Feixiang in the south, Yongnian and Jize in the west, and Pingxiang in Xingtai City in the north. Quzhou County covers an area of 667 square kilometers, governing 6 towns, 4 townships and 342 administrative villages. According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Quzhou County is 463,727.

Handan Huanghua Port Railway (Handan Huanghua Railway for short) and Qinglan Expressway pass by; National Highway 230 (formerly Dingwei Highway) and National Highway 514 (formerly Hanlin Highway) cross the border, and the power supply is sufficient. There are six 220kV, 110kV and 35kV substations. All villages in the county are electrified, and the program-controlled telephone is accessible in all directions. In October 2017, it was named National Garden County by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development. On January 25, 2019, it was selected as a national "safe agricultural machinery" demonstration county in 2018. In 2019, Quzhou County achieved a GDP of 12283.8 million yuan. In September 2020, it was selected into the list of strong counties (cities and districts) in the food industry of Hebei Province.
