Seda County

Seda County is a county under the jurisdiction of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. Located in the northeast of Ganzi Prefecture, 31 ° 38 ′ - 33 ° 20 ′ N and 98 ° 48 ′ - 101 ° 00 ′ E. It is located at the intersection of Sichuan Province, Qinghai Province, Aba Prefecture, Ganzi Prefecture, and Golog Prefecture in Qinghai Province, as well as the junction of Zamtang County, Ganzi County, Luhuo County, Shiqu County, Dari County, and Banma County. It is adjacent to Zamtang County in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in the east, bordering on Banma and Dari counties in Qinghai Province in the north, and adjacent to Ganzi and Luhuo counties in Ganzi Prefecture in the west and south respectively. The county covers an area of 9338.98 square kilometers. According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Seda County was 64681.

The origin of the name of Seda County is mainly due to the discovery of a horse-shaped gold in Setang in the early years, so it is called "Golden Horse".

In 2020, the GDP of Seda County increased from 870 million yuan in 2015 to 1.53 billion yuan in 2020, with an average annual increase of 132 million yuan and 12.6%.

Seda County, with an area of 1.8 square kilometers, is the political, economic and cultural center of the whole county. The county seat consists of "three vertical and six horizontal" streets composed of "well" roads. Seda County is the ethnic inhabited area with the highest altitude, the coldest climate and the worst natural conditions in Ganzi Prefecture, mainly Tibetan.
