Shangyu District is under Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Located in the east of Zhejiang Province, northeast of Shaoxing City, Qiantang River south bank. It is adjacent to Yuyao City of Ningbo City in the east, Shengzhou City in the south, Keqiao District and Yucheng District in the west, Qiantang River in the north, and Haining City and Haiyan County facing each other, with an area of 1403 square kilometers. The topography is high in the south and low in the north.
