Shenqiu County, under the jurisdiction of Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is located in the southeast of Henan Province, at the junction of Henan and Anhui, in the middle reaches of Yingshui River, bordering Xiang City in the west and the head of Anhui in the east. With a total area of 1080 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 2 streets, 15 towns and 5 townships. According to the results of the seventh national population census, by 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Shenqiu County was 956631.

Shenqiu County was called Moling in ancient times. On August 1, 2018, the Standing Committee of Henan Provincial Government approved Shenqiu County to withdraw from poverty-stricken counties. On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 Comprehensive Demonstration County of E-commerce in Rural Areas" from the Ministry of Commerce.
