Suining County, subordinate to Shaoyang City of Hunan Province, is located in the western border of Shaoyang City, between 26°16 '~ 27°8' north latitude, 109°49 '~ 110°32' east longitude, north-south straight line length of 103.5 kilometers, east-west straight line width of 56 kilometers, a total area of 2917 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, Suining County has jurisdiction over 17 towns, the county people's government resident Zhu Sha Tang Community in Changpu Town. According to the seventh census data, as of midnight on November 1, 2020, Suining County's permanent population is 290,664.
Suining County, in the eleventh year of Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty (637 years), was originally named Huizhou. In the first year of Chongning of Song Dynasty (1102 years), the court changed Xizong Huizhou to Jimi Huizhou. Chongning two years forced Huizhou to serve again, restore the Dill Bamboo County, then renamed Suining County (flat "Suiling to Ning" meaning), Li Shaozhou. Suining County is very rich in tourism resources. There are the largest golden nanmu forest, hemlock and panichuana communities in China, and the vast forest sea in the Huangsang National Nature Reserve. On April 16, 2019, the people's Government of Hunan Province agreed to lift Suining County out of poverty. In 2020, the GDP of Suining County was 1006615 million yuan, an increase of 3.1% over the previous year.
